It's what's so mind boggling to me at times. Some people believe this so much to the point that you can't even talk about your outrage at the inequality prevailing on capitalism because they don't understand how could you think money is worthless.I see that's horrible.
Money is a concept. The value we put on things by using it as a measure is a concept. The actual value is in the work we put on it, and yet, for capitalism, that part is meaningless.
My mom has to deal with over 20 thousand bucks per day on her job as a cashier, and many of the clients she deals with say they only come back because they enjoy her company.
Now, multiply that for 26 for September. That's how many days she'll work this month.
From the total value/month she works with, which is 520,000, her salary is about 0.2% of that.
Is her work really that worthless? Is the hours she spends risking getting sick and overworking her arthritic arms doing the same movements the whole day worth so little? According to capitalism, yes.
Worst of all is that her work is light compared to some, more physically demanding ones. And her salary is still better than that of many.
Let that sink in.
