Is BimboLands a sham democracy? Can you have a democracy when nobody voted in the current president? When voting actually starts will it be a democracy then? If the corporate structure of business is not democratic then does voting on where 50% of the profits go actually make any difference whatsoever? If free speech criticizing the site is not allowed then can it be a democracy?

First of all, in its current state I don't think Bimbolands can be considered a democracy. As ShyBoy said the president was not voted on by the members of the community and he might very well have elected himself president. Furthermore, the fact that you have to pay to become a senator undermines the idea of a democracy. In a democracy people vote for the senators who'll represent them in the parliament. Here you can just go and buy yourself a spot as a senator, if you have the money obviously. If you don't have the money or don't wish to spend it then you can just forget about being eligible to become president.
So technically if this was to be a true democracy it would require some changes. For example, the senators from each state should be elected by the members of that state to represent them in the parliament. The senators would then be elibible to run for president if they wish to do so in a nationwide election.
As for your other questions I'm not entirely sure yet, but time will tell I guess. I truly hope there will be freedom of speech in this game as it is one of the most basic features of a democracy. So I'll just cross my fingers for now and hope no one gets banned for speaking their mind!

So far the site is still new so it's too early to say but I agree with what Aymie said about paying to be a senator, that definitely undermines the whole democracy thing as you can just buy your way into power and everyone who doesn't wish to pay, whether they are good for the job or not will not get a chance.

I wouldn't worry too much about a pre-elected president as it has been said it is an interim president which is obvious as the site is still new and the first real democratic vote will take place on 1st June 2015.

Um Hii I Was Hoping Since Miss.Bimbo Got Shut Down And I Never Got To Play It So I Was Like OH! They Have A New Game Let's Try That. I so far am not feeling this game yes the clothes are very very cheap that's so far good but like the in currency is too overwhelming how about we should be able to earn Treasury.

Candy makes some very good points. I lend my voice to the fact the game is new. Of course the first leader must be the games creator. With a population of ZERO to vote for the first prime minister, it seems common sense that he would be the interim Prime minister till elections could begin. With experience in running an on-line campaign to be elected, (to be Miss Bimbo) I know the only way to be elected is to have a population able to VOTE first. Democracy begins when people vote. Just as did Socialism, and Communism. There is always a first prime minister, and how that leader governs sets the stage for future events, and forms the general populations mind set, and goals for the future. That is democracy no matter the political ideology of the given nation.
If there is a 'Sham', it is that there is really nothing to govern, right now. I can't even think of any reason to become a senator right now ether. What would the job duties be?
Would it be just a popularity contest? Isn't that a sham?
Candy was right, a person could conceivably buy the election. However, if you look at real life American politics, this is done every election. The leader who spends the most littering the landscape with only a smiling face, and a name on a poster with a 3 word catch phrase, wins. Few people will even know what that elected leader has planned for their future with an ambiguous promise such as: "hope and change". it's not even a lie. Everyone has hope, and everyone wants change. What you get, is never going to be what you hoped for. History has proven that fact in countless elections, often leading to pure disaster for the very people who voted for that individual. Why would Bimbolands be any different. How much would you pay for name recognition alone?
I can tell you that even though I only came in third place during that election, HeavenLeighBimbo, spent nothing but time talking to the voters. Money doesn't buy respect or good leadership....
With that said, I again ask what would a Prime minister do?
This game doesn't seem to have a goal quite yet. A leader should have an objective to achieve. If the leader doesn't have a goal, there is no direction to lead anyone, anywhere.
I like the whole political elements in this game. It adds a little bit more fun.
