Also, Chris, while I understand why you want to bring some investors, I study that and I could tell you that it's a more complicated subject. You can make it 16+, no one is against minors. We just want a proper environment of then and like I pointed before, to bring investors, you must have a product that could be accepted by the customers. While I understand what you're talking about, and you're right about expanding the brand, it also requires some changes. I could help you with that if you want, but keep in mind your current userbase as well. Only a small part of it is from UK.
Plus, it's extremely hard to deal with some repeat offenders. Recently, I required the permaban from a user that broke the site rules several times in the past years. Aside from the homophobic, transphobic, racist, and xenophobic statements, encouraging people to engage in risky behavior, harassing the voluntary staff, and moke about a mental health issue, that person keeps engaging in sexual roleplay and posting explicit sexual experiences over the forum. I reported it exactly the same way that I report all the inappropriate accounts, and while I don't wanna blame anyone for it because I don't know what happened, it takes almost 2 weeks until I got a response.
After that, Toki did her best to mediate the situation, but at that point, the damage was already done because this person ended up being elected as a State Minister. I can see that both you, Toki, and everyone else are trying to find a solution regards this subject and I'm aware of the changes regards the ban/jail dynamics, but the best answer for that kind of question is better communication between us and Team Bimbo. I'm sorry, but the 90 days in jail only work up to a certain point. If someone keeps pushing the rules, even after 90 days in jail, we should start expecting to be harassed in 3-to-3 months?

Yes, and no one can say for sure that next PB, whoever it will be, won't abuse 3-month jail option. We already had situations with bots and 'wrongly' elected people who luckily didn't enjoy PB position for very long. That same player who got fake votes in June elections turned out to be very toxic and spiteful, even she pretended being nice for more than 2 years and we all trusted her so she was forum guardian too. So yes, someone is able to trick people, someone is able to make bots who seem as regular players, it is possible to rig elections one way or another way, it is possible to get covert psycho in the position of power and so on. Oh, and what about democracy? It is not a democracy. Elections won with the help of bots are not democratic elections.
Though I agree with Chris that BL certainly isn't porn site and get his reasons for making it 16+, I am still afraid of minors. Not because they are demons and idiots but because today minors know to be overly sensitive and whiny. That's it. I don't want game ruined for me and other normal adult people because of whiny minors who are prone to complain over anything and everything, baiting people pretending they are adults and then use it to report them. It's not a democracy either.
As for 18+ shop category, that could be as well just called 16+. There is really no any so explicit content. That category wasn't named 18+ because it's indeed 18+ and should prevent minors from entering, but because it has a various content that goes under the same umbrella. It could have been called 'others' or 'sexy' as well.
